Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital – McKeesport, a Select Medical facility, seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the New Graduate program. The role is at Select Specialty Hospital inside UPMC McKeesport, with a day shift from 7a to 7p and $40.70 per hour plus weekend differentials.

A $15,000 sign-on bonus is offered, plus free parking for full-time staff. We provide extensive orientation (10–13 weeks) with a dedicated preceptor, 100% company-paid BSN scholarship and tuition reimbursement, clinical ladder

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited program for registered nursing.
• Valid State RN License required.
• BLS required at hire.
• Must have scheduling flexibility to complete the program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implement the assessment plan in collaboration with the physician and preceptor.
• Perform ongoing systematic assessment of physical, emotional, social, educational and functional needs.
• Develop a nursing care plan with diagnosis, orders, actions and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in rehabilitation goals.
• Ensure medical records are complete, accurate and timely.

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with the physician and their preceptor, you will assure implementation of the assessment plan, evaluation, and follow-up of the plan of care for the patient population.
• Initiating an ongoing systematic assessment of the physical, emotional, social, educational and functional needs of the patients/families.
• Interpreting assessment data and information to develop a nursing care plan which contains problem identification, nursing diagnosis, nursing orders, approaches, interventions, short/long term goals and discharge planning.
• Participating as a productive member of the interdisciplinary team in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of rehabilitation goals.
• Assuring that documents in the medical record are complete, factual, accurate and timely.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of accredited program for registered nursing.
• Valid State RN License required.
• BLS required at hire.
• Must have flexibility of scheduling to complete the requirements of the program
