Job summary

Advocate Health’s Milwaukee Emergency Department is seeking tenured nurses to join our team of nursing excellence. As an RN, you will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in line with established standards and policies.

The department features 60 care spaces in a high-volume setting with opportunities to impact patient outcomes. This part-time role is 24 hours per week with a PM shift (15:00–03:00) and minimal weekend

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited nursing program.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.

Where You Will Work:

Our newly renovated emergency department is one of the largest EDs in the state. We have 60 care spaces where we care for over 200 patients daily. St. Luke’s Hospital is a quaternary care site with designations as a comprehensive stroke center, trauma level 3 center, and chest pain accredited.

We’re Looking For:
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
