Job summary

Tenet Massachusetts is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for LDRP to join the Southborough, MA team. You will provide direct clinical care in labor/delivery recovery and postpartum, coordinate care, and support patient safety and quality initiatives.

Ideal candidates are state-licensed RNs with CPR certification, and preferably BSN, with experience in obstetric care and the ability to supervise staff during shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a state approved nursing program.
• Currently licensed as a registered nurse in Massachusetts.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care to obstetric patients per shift.
• Supervise staff and delegate tasks as assigned.
• Coordinate patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
• Respond to emergencies and follow hospital codes and infection control procedures.
• Adhere to safety and quality initiatives across the unit.

The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level. The role is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated. The role is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.The RN provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to all patients. The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process.The RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and Infection Control, with the goal being to discharge the patient with an optimum level of care provided.Assumes responsibility for coordination and planning of patient care within the prescribed medical regime.Performs and fulfills all HICS (hospital incident command system) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed by the facility in times of emergency and/or disaster.Responsible for knowing the Hospital’s emergency codes, including the purpose and appropriate action for each, and adheres to the Hospital policies and procedures for each emergency code.Performs related duties as required
