Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA is hiring a Part Time Registered Nurse for the LDRP. This night-shift position requires on-call hours and cross-training into postpartum. Ideal candidates will have Labor and Delivery experience and prior charge or supervisory roles.

The LDRP unit provides 24-bed postpartum care with a 1:1 to 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio, and emphasizes high-quality, personalized care. Sign-on bonus up to $10,000 is available for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Registered Nursing.
• NRP within 6 months of hire.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• RN license required.
• Labor and Delivery experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient care in the LDRP and postpartum units as needed.
• Cross-train into postpartum and assist with charge duties as assigned.
• Participate in on-call rotation and night-shift coverage.
• Adhere to patient safety protocols and care standards in a high-acuity setting.

Overview

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Part Time Registered Nurse for the LDRP. This is a night shift position with required call. Preferred applicants will have experience specifically in Labor and Delivery and will cross train into postpartum. Ideal applicants will have previous charge or supervisory experience.

Two 12-hour shifts per week with every 3rd weekend rotation on Saturday and Sunday. The required call is 16-24 hours per 6-week schedule.

LDRP

Sentara Martha Jeffersons Women’s Health includes L&D, and a 24 bed post-partum mother/baby. Our Level 2 newborn specialty care nursery has a 1 to 1 ratio while our intermediate care babies have a 1 to 3 nursing ratio. Our LDRP unit also offers post operative care for complex GYN and Breast surgical needs. This specialty area has a 100-member team cross trained to offer best in class healthcare to Charlottesville, VA, and surrounding areas. The schedule is primarily 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holiday requirements. Education

• Degree or diploma in Registered Nursing


• BSN or MSN Preferred

Certification / Licensure

• Women's Care - Perinatal departments; NRP within 6 months of hire.


• BLS within 90 days of hire


• Registered nursing license required


• EFM- Electronic Fetal monitoring preferred


• Certified Obstetrics Nursing preferred

Experience

• 2 years of acute care registered nurse experience in women's health preferred


• Experience in charge roles preferred


• Labor and Delivery specific Experience preferred


• Strong understanding of patient safety protocols.


• Manages complex cases in fast-paced environments


• Communication with patients and providers


• Must want to work night shift

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
