Job summary

Havasu Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an experienced Womens Services RN to care for mothers and newborns in a busy Labor & Delivery unit. The role emphasizes patient safety, education, and compassionate support for families during childbirth.

The position requires Arizona RN licensure (compact acceptable), ADN (BSN preferred), and certifications in BCLS, ACLS, and PALS, with 2 years OB nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) is required.
• BSN is preferred for this Womens Services RN role.
• Current certifications in BCLS, ACLS and PALS are required.

Responsibilities

• Safely cares for mother and newborn during labor and delivery.
• Follow AWHONN best practices for quality and safety.
• Provide postpartum recovery support and newborn care education.
• Document care accurately and timely.
• Advocate for the patient’s physical and emotional well-being.

• Safely cares for the mother and newborn throughout the labor and delivery process, ensuring a comfortable, stable, and caring environment.
• Follows all AWHONN best practices for quality and safe patient care.
• Provides holistic postpartum recovery support, comprehensive clinical assessments, and vital education on newborn care and breastfeeding.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Accurately documents all patient care provided in a timely manner.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Arizona RN license or Compact RN License with Arizona endorsement, and possess an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Education: Bachelor of Science (BSN) preferred
• Certifications: BCLS, ACLS and PALS required
• Experience: 2 years of OB nursing experience or current Women's Services nurse required
