Job summary

Nacogdoches Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor & Delivery in a full-time night shift. This role directs nursing activities, provides specialized care to patients and families, and supports medical staff under hospital policies. Requires Texas RN licensure, BLS/NRP/ACLS, and fetal monitoring certification by 3 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
• Minimum Experience: RN with a minimum of 1 year of L&D experience.
• Required Certification: BLS, NRP, ACLS and fetal monitoring.
• Required Licensure: Valid Texas RN license.
• Note: certifications must be completed by 3 months of employment.

• Directs nursing service activities of the Labor and Delivery Department.
• Renders specialized professional nursing care to patients in Labor and Delivery.
• Treats patients and families with courtesy and respect and supports parental roles.
• Supports medical care as directed by medical staff and hospital policies.
• Covers direct and indirect patient care tasks.

Treats patients and their families with courtesy and respect. Creates a trusting attitude in both parents towards nursing and helps them accept their responsibility as parents. In support of medical care as directed by medical staff and pursuant to objectives and policies of the hospital. Work encompasses direct and indirect patient care.
Minimum Education: Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing
Minimum Experience: RN with a minimum of 1 year of L&D experience required
Required Certification: BLS, NRP, ACLS & Fetal Monitoring required**
