Job summary

Wellington Regional Medical Center in Wellington, FL seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for Interventional Radiology. This full-time role offers a SIGN ON BONUS of $15,000, 40 hours weekly, day shift, and potential overtime. Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm with call and holiday coverage.

Cross-training across imaging services is encouraged to meet facility needs. The Imaging Procedural Nurse collaborates with cardiology and other specialists to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate

Qualifications

  • Two years' Critical Care/IR experience preferred.
  • RN licensed in Florida is required.
  • Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist cardiologist and interventional team in care of interventional patients.
  • Perform and document stroke risk assessment and NIHSS as indicated.
  • Cross-train to other imaging service areas as needed.

This opportunity is full-time at 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a day shift schedule. There is opportunity for overtime and to cover various shifts if interested.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm. Requirement for Call, Holiday Coverage

Role and Responsibilities

The Imaging Procedural Nurse is responsible and accountable for all nursing care provided to their patients. The nurse is accountable to the patient, Department Manager, Department Director, Medical Director, and Chief Nurse Officer. Under the direction of the Department Manager and Medical Director, the Imaging Procedural Nurse is responsible for assisting the cardiologist and other allied professionals, both technically and clinically in the assessment, planning, executing and evaluating the care of Interventional patients. The Imaging Procedural Nurse must be willing to cross train and float to other Imaging Service areas to meet the needs of the facility. Recognizes the signs and symptoms of stroke and calling a stroke alert overhead. Verbalizes stroke alert process. Performs and documents the NIHSS, administration and monitoring of thrombolytic therapy if patient deemed a candidate, preparation of patient for Endovascular treatment as indicated, assumes patient care of the stroke alert while in Interventional Radiology Department. Maintains currency in stroke knowledge by completing the NIHSS training and a minimum of 8 hours of stroke related training annually.

Qualifications
Job Description
  • Graduate of an RN program accredited through the ACEN, CCNE, or CNEA.
  • Current registered nurses license in the State of Florida
  • Minimum of two (2) year's Critical Care/IR experience preferred.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS
  • Willingness to be cross trained to other areas
  • Basic computer skills
