Job summary

Avera is seeking a Nurse Operations Coordinator to oversee nursing department activities and patient flow, working with clinic leadership to maintain efficient operations.

The role requires RN licensure, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate staffing and resources to meet clinical goals. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Sioux Falls, SD, with comprehensive benefits.

A Brief Overview

Coordinates the nursing department activities and work production. Ensures a level of communication between nursing staff, physicians, and all other clinic departments to create a positive outcome for clinic employees and patients.

What you will do

• In collaboration with the clinic manager, is accountable for the clinical operations and coordination of patient flow.
• Resolves operational and scheduling discrepancies in the absence of the manager.
• Coordinates resources to meet budgetary clinical goals and objectives.
• Is responsible for maintaining appropriate staffing levels to maximize efficiency.
• Participates in the employee selection process. Conducts position orientation and serves as a resource to staff.
• Provides coaching for performance improvement and provide input in employee performance. Assists staff by trouble shooting questions.
• Contributes to development of Nursing Department policies and procedures.
• Assists leadership in facilitating monthly clinical staff meetings.
• Reviews and orders supplies for the clinic.
• Educates nurses in the use of new technologies, electronic medical records processes and/or medical equipment.
