Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking an experienced RN to coordinate nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures. You will perform comprehensive assessments, establish IV access, and monitor patients during and after procedures, ensuring safe, compassionate care in a procedural environment.

Minimum one year of acute-care nursing and an active Louisiana RN license are required, along with BLS and ACLS. Prior IR, CCU, ED, or perioperative experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed RN with acute-care nursing experience.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS are required.
• Experience in interventional radiology or procedural environments is preferred.

Your Everyday Responsibilities

• Prioritize and coordinate nursing care for patients undergoing scheduled and emergent interventional radiology procedures.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments before procedures and communicate changes in patient condition to the care team.
• Establish and maintain IV access and provide direct nursing care during procedures.
• Monitor patients during and after procedures and provide recovery care according to department protocols.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide safe, effective, and compassionate patient care.
• Maintain a safe environment and follow infection-control, safety, and Joint Commission requirements.
• Safely care for patients in an environment where radiation-producing equipment is used.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and address patient and family questions and concerns.
• Provide patient and family education and support continuity of care.
• Advocate for patients and contribute to a positive patient experience.
• Assist team members and communicate with supervisors when additional support is needed.

Must-Haves

• Minimum of one year of recent acute‑care nursing experience.
• Current Louisiana RN license.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification.

Preferred

• Previous RN experience in Interventional Radiology, Critical Care, Emergency Department, Perioperative Nursing, Cardiac Catheterization, or another procedural environment.

Shift Schedule

Shift Schedule Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM. WORK SHIFT: Days (United States of America).
