Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) in Norfolk, VA. The role offers a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 and relocation packages may be available. Shift: Full-time, Night shift (7p-7a) in a 16-bed IMCU unit providing skilled care.

The RN will perform assessments, develop care plans, administer treatments, and educate patients and families while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes and safety.

Qualifications

• RN Degree is REQUIRED.
• Virginia RN License is REQUIRED.
• BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Experience as RN is PREFERRED.

Relocation packages available! Shift: Full Time, Night shift (7p-7a) Unit Overview: 7N is a 16-bed IMC mixed unit. We provide highly skilled care to a variety of patients!

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive, patient-centered care in a dynamic healthcare setting. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, delivering treatments, and supporting patients and families with education and compassionate service. The RN collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to monitor patient progress, make clinical adjustments, and advocate for the best patient outcomes, ensuring safety and adherence to evidence-based practices.

Education and Qualifications

RN Degree REQUIRED

Certification/Licensure Virginia RN License REQUIRED

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 90-days of hire

Compensation

The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.93 - $61.01 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.

Sign on Bonus up to $20,000 offered for qualified candidates.
