Job summary

Novant Health in Matthews, NC is seeking a dedicated RN for our Intermediate Critical Care Unit, a fast-paced, team-focused environment where you care for higher-acuity patients and collaborate with an experienced interdisciplinary team.

You will establish authentic relationships with patients and their families, work with physicians to plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care, and use evidence and compassion to guide each patient’s health journey.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
• If RN license inactive for five years or more and no licensure in another state recently, complete a refresher course before reinstatement.
• One year of acute nursing experience required.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care.
• Utilize best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey.

What You’ll Do

• Establish authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system
• Collaborate with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health or supports a peaceful death.
• Utilize best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey

What We’re Looking For

• Education:
  • - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • - 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  • - If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience:One year of acute nursing experience required.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration:
  • - Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
  • -Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
