RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced RN for the Intensive Care Unit at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ. This night-shift role focuses on high-acuity patient care, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and safety-driven practice.

The ICU is a 12-bed unit using advanced therapies and rapid intervention to support complex medical and surgical patients. A strong clinical foundation and commitment to patient-centered care are essential.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred; patient care experience helpful.
• Experience with EPIC or similar EMR is preferred.

The Intensive Care Unit( ICU) is a 12-bed critical care unit that provides comprehensive care for hemodynamically unstable patietns. The unit delivers advance, evidence base therapies including continuos renal replacement therapy (CRRT), intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) and Impella management and targeted temperature management (TTM). The ICU is a closed unit and is staffed by a multidisciplinary team with specialized critical care expertise to provide continuous monitoring and rapid intervention, and high quality, patient centered care for patients with complex medical and surgical needs.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), a typical day may include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, using your judgment to intervene early and advocate for your patients
• Providing safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands on care grounded in strong clinical judgment
• Serving as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers, offering insight that supports timely, well-coordinated care decisions
• Providing clear, compassionate education to patients and families so they feel informed, supported, and prepared for the next phase of care
• Ensuring accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record to promote continuity and patient safety
• Contributing your voice during interdisciplinary rounds, helping drive seamless communication and smooth transitions of care
• Taking an active role in a highly collaborative team environment where shared accountability and teamwork directly impact outcomes

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC.
