Laurel Oaks Behavioral Health Center is seeking an Assessment/Intake Registered Nurse to join our team in Dothan, AL. The RN will perform in-person level of care determinations and crisis intervention, initiate contact with referral sources and potential patients, and coordinate intake and admissions.

The role requires maintaining communication with families, patients and unit staff. This is a Full-Time, Monday-Friday 3 PM–11 PM position with rotating weekend on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Alabama is required.
• Two years or more experience in psychiatric settings preferred.
• Experience in crisis intervention, intake/admissions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person level of care determinations and crisis intervention.
• Make initial contact with referral sources and potential patients.

The 55,000 square foot facility is situated on approximately 10 acres in the southeast corner of Alabama, less than 20 miles from both Florida and Georgia. In addition to the living units, the facility houses the New Day Academy; a state-supported year-round K-12th grade school with vocational opportunities. The hospital employs approximately 195 staff members.

Laurel Oaks is searching for an Assessment/Intake Registered Nurse to join our team. The Intake Registered Nurse provides in-person level of care determinations and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care, facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff. This position is Full Time, M-F 3p-11p; rotating call weekends.
