Job summary

Select Rehabilitation Hospital of Denton is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team in Denton, Texas. You will collaborate with therapists and nursing staff to support patient goals and ensure high-quality care.

As an RN, you will assess, document in EPIC, and coordinate admissions/transfers while guiding patients and families through care plans and treatment milestones. Commitment to excellence is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid State RN license required.
• BLS required at hire.
• BSN or enrollment in BSN program preferred.
• Clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Collaborate with Therapists (PT/OT/SLP).
• Partner with a Nursing Assistant each shift and manage a caseload.
• Assist patients to achieve goals on the care plan.
• Receive admissions and transfers.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments.
• Document timely and accurately using EPIC.
• Transcribe and process medical orders correctly.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families.

Responsibilities

• As an RN at one of our medical rehabilitation hospitals you will work with an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• You will work closely with other clinicians to include Therapists Physical, Occupational and Speech Language Pathologists.
• On each shift you will partner with a Nursing Assistant partner and handle a manageable case load.
• Together we will help our patients achieve outlined goals and milestones on their individual patient care plan.
• Receiving admissions and/or transfers.
• Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment.
• Timely and accurate documentation using EPICInterpreting assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.
• Ensuring medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Instructing and counseling patients/families.

Qualifications
