System Support is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Inpatient General Surgery Unit at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. This full-time role offers a night shift from 7pm to 7:30am and includes a sign-on bonus.

The ideal candidate will have a BSN or be willing to obtain it within 5 years. While no prior experience is necessary, the RN will provide comprehensive care, collaborating with the healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN required or must obtain within 5 years of hire.
• Proof of enrollment required within 6 months of hire.
• RNs with 2 years of acute care hospital experience may forgo the BSN requirement.

The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse (RN) who partners with and advocates for patients/families/significant others to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support which impacts patient outcomes in a safe environment. The RN functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence and autonomy in the practice of Nursing. The RN utilizes the nursing process in conjunction with evidence‑based principles to care for a diverse caseload of patients within the department scope of service. The RN serves as guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader and sentry. The RN collaborates with and guides care delivered by the inter‑professional team. The RN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Code of Ethics and applicable regulatory standards.

Education

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN required or must obtain within 5 years of hire. Proof of enrollment required within 6 months of hire. RNs with min. 2 years of acute care hospital experience may elect to forgo the BSN requirement and sign a Professional Certification MOU which must be obtained within 3 years of hire.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Valid Ohio RN license
• Current AHA BLS certification required at the time of hire.
