Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Infusion in Neurology to deliver high-quality patient care in a physician practice setting. The role emphasizes organization, assessment, and development of care plans to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy and IV therapies, creating and evaluating care plans, and fostering a learning environment for nursing peers, with required nursing licensure and oncology certification timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred; ACLS acceptable in lieu of BLS.
• ONS Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy Certification required within 6 months of hire.
• One year of medical/surgical or oncology experience preferred (not required).
• EPIC Electronic Health Record training preferred (not required).

• Conducts and analyzes initial and ongoing patient assessment, creates plan of care, implements treatments and evaluates treatment effectiveness.
• Restores, supports, promotes, rehabilitates, or palliates to maintain stability across the lifespan.
• Administers chemotherapy and other medication, starts IVs, transfuses blood and blood products and performs therapeutic phlebotomies.
• Anticipates and responds to rapidly changing patient conditions with confidence.
• Assists in creating an environment that promotes educational growth opportunities for nursing peers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by:

• Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status
• Implementing clinical nursing interventions
• Having a highly diverse medical skillset
• Developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes
• Ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment

Essential Functions:

• Conducts and analyzes initial and ongoing patient assessment, creates plan of care, implements treatments and evaluates treatment effectiveness

Range:

• Minimum: $34.33
• Maximum: $54.93
