Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a dedicated Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) for its Neurology Physician Practice. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, accurate assessments, and collaborative problem-solving in a fast-paced infusion setting.

You will administer chemotherapy, manage IVs and transfusions, and contribute to care planning while maintaining a safe, family-centered environment. Oncology expertise and EPIC EHR proficiency are valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Oncology Chemotherapy Certification required within 6 months of hire; BLS preferred, ACLS acceptable in lieu of BLS.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient status and develops plan of care; implements treatments.
• Maintains safe and therapeutic environment; supports multiple life stages.
• Administers chemotherapy, starts IVs, transfuses blood and related procedures.

Job Summary

The Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by:

• Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status
• Implementing clinical nursing interventions
• Having a highly diverse medical skillset
• Developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes
• Ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment

Essential Functions

• Conducts and analyzes initial and ongoing patient assessment, creates plan of care, implements treatments and evaluates treatment effectiveness
• Restores, supports, promotes, rehabilitates, or palliates to maintain the physiologic, psychologic and psychosocial stability of patients across the lifespan
• Administers chemotherapy and other medication, starts IV's, transfuses blood and blood products and performs therapeutic phlebotomies
• Anticipates and responds with confidence and adapts to rapidly changing patient conditions
• Assists in creating an environment that promotes educational growth opportunities for nursing peers
• Other duties as assigned

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care; ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support acceptable in lieu of BLS)
• ONS Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy Certification (required within 6 months of hire)

Experience

• One (1) year of medical/surgical or oncology experience (preferred, not required)

Training

• EPIC Electronic Health Record training (preferred, not required)

Range

• Minimum: $34.33
• Maximum: $54.93
