Job summary

Lovelace Health System, Inc. is seeking a day shift, full-time Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) RN in Albuquerque, NM. You will provide direct patient care, support nursing staff, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications include an Associate's degree or Diploma of Nursing and NM license within 90 days. BLS is required within 14 days, with ACLS/PALS possibly required. A Bachelor’s degree and 2 years in the specialty are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or Diploma of Nursing required; NM nursing license or NM compact license within 90 days of hire.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role.
• ACLS and/or PALS may be required by the hiring department.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care and manage staff assigned to the RN in charge.
• May serve as Charge Nurse and uphold professional practice.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure patient safety.

• Heart Hospital of New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center is New Mexico's only hospital dedicated exclusively to cardiovascular care, including the state's only facility performing left ventricular aortic device (LVAD) implant and a state-of-the-art hybrid operating room.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing, to include patient care and staff management assigned to the RN in his/her charge.
• May serve in the role of Charge Nurse and is accountable for professional practice.
• Adheres to policies and procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Associate's degree or Diploma of Nursing
• Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire)
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• HIRING DEPARTMENT MAY ALSO REQUIRE ACLS and or PALS

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Two (2) years of experience in the specialty
• 2 years of general nursing experience.
