Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking an RN II for Interventional Radiology at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital. The role supports a collaborative IR team with exposure to GE hybrid/OR, CT, and ultrasound.

The RN II provides patient care using the nursing process and participates in rapid response across shifts. Requirements include an RN license, BCLS/ACLS/NIHSS, CPI training, and 2 years IR experience (or ICU/ED background).

Qualifications

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree; Bachelor's preferred
  • 2 years IR experience preferred, or 2 years ICU/ED if no IR
  • RN license required at hire; BCLS/ACLS/NIHSS; CPI training

Responsibilities

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate and evaluates interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures
  • Initiates information for patients and families
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift and inter-hospital

Work hours:Full Time 30 hours; Rotating Call

Here’s What You Need
Education
  • Nursing Diploma required Or
  • Associate's Degree Nursing required Or
  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred
Experience
  • 2 years IR experience strongly preferred and/or 2 years ICU/ED strongly preferred if without IR experience.
Licenses and Certifications
  • RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required And
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required And
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 days required And
  • NIHSS- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification 30 days required And
  • CPI- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 90 days required
