Job summary

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our ICU team at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, IL. The role involves bedside ICU nursing with a weekend option and night shifts, typically 36 hours per week.

Ideal candidates are mission-driven, patient-focused nurses ready to apply clinical knowledge to acute care. Required licensure as an RN, BLS, and patient population-specific ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable. CCSRN and CEN are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Licensed RN in state of practice is required.
  • BLS is required.
  • ACLS, PALS, and NRP are required based on patient population.
  • CCRN and CEN are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on acute patient care in ICU.
  • Coordinate and communicate with ICU team to ensure high-quality care.
  • Support and participate in shift scheduling and patient monitoring.

$32.00 - $48.00

A successful candidate’s actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our ICU team. Ideal candidates are patient focused, mission driven caregivers looking for an opportunity to apply clinical knowledge to coordinate and perform hands on acute patient care at the bedside.

Position Specifics

Department: ICU
Core Function: Nursing
Schedule: Weekend Option, Nights, 36 hrs/week, 7pm-7am
Facility: St. Elizabeth’s Hospital
Location: O’Fallon, IL

Education Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.
  • Bachelor’s of science in nursing is preferred.
Experience Qualifications
  • Critical Care Nursing experience is preferred.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required. Wisconsin: RNs may practice with a valid multi-state RN license as outlined in the Nurse Licensure Compact rules.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) are required based on the patient population in the specialty area worked.
  • Specialty certifications based on patient population such as Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) are preferred.
