Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a focus on ICU patient care.
  • AHA BLS required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS and PALS certification required within six months.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and administer specialized treatments.
  • Monitor critical conditions and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a team in a 12-bed ICU with a 1:2 nurse to patient ratio.

Job Type: PRN, Variable

Shift Differentials: Evening $2.50/hour / Night $4.00/hour / Weekend $1.50/hour

Department/Unit Summary

Join our team in a 12-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Staffed with Registered Nurses (RNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), our ICU operates with a 1:2 nurse to patient ratio. We offer Telehealth intensivists for immediate support and manage a diverse range of diagnoses including respiratory failure, cardio/pulmonary disease, sepsis, and diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, administering specialized treatments, monitoring critical conditions, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. This position provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where teamwork, critical thinking, and compassionate care are paramount.

Qualifications:

Qualifications And Requirements

Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program required with a current unencumbered Registered Nurse License in North Carolina or from a Compact State.

Additional requirements include:

  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 30 days of hire.
  • AHA ACLS and AHA PALS are required within six months of hire.
  • Handle With Care within 90 days of hire
  • One year of experience preferred
