Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Night Shift Registered Nurse at the Manchester area location to deliver high-quality patient care and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team. You will respond quickly to changes in patient condition and ensure age-appropriate care across all life stages.

Must have CT nursing licensure, BCLS/ACLS certification, and strong communication skills. Evening weekend and holiday coverage are required as part of the rotation; benefits and career growth opportunities

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with current CT licensure
• BCLS & ACLS certification required upon hire or within orientation period
• Strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered care.
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary team and communicate clinical status.
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles to deliver age-appropriate care.
• Report to Clinical Nurse Manager and maintain professional practice standards

POSITION SUMMARY:

Utilizing the nursing process, provides high quality direct and indirect patient –centered care. Coordinates patient care by working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team. Communicates, as appropriate, the patient's clinical condition, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide age appropriate care to the patient population served. Promotes the profession of nursing and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current licensure in the State of Connecticut.

• Must have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification within the new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment with Hartford HealthCare in this role.

COMPETENCIES:

• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally as well as in writing using the English language.

• Possess basic computer skills.
