Job summary

ChristianaCare seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the HVIS Preparation and Holding Unit in Newark, DE. This full-time role involves caring for patients undergoing procedures in multiple cardiac labs, with exposure to general anesthesia and monitored anesthesia care.

The unit operates on rotating shifts and includes weekend rotation on Saturdays. The candidate should have a BSN (or commit to pursuing BSN within three years), BLS certification, and at least one year of cardiac/critical

Qualifications

• One year of cardiac or critical care experience as a Registered Nurse.
• BSN required or commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire.
• BLS Certification Required.
• Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware required.
• ACLS Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality cardiac and post-procedure nursing care.
• Care for patients undergoing procedures in Cardiac Catheterization, Electrophysiology, and Vascular/Neuro Interventional Radiology Labs.
• Cross-train in Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Lab to expand skills and professional development.

Registered Nurse (RN) - HVIS Preparation & Holding Unit

Full Time - 72 Hours/pay

Rotating Shifts : 8-hour, 10-hour & 12-hours

Saturday weekend rotation (unit closed on Sundays)

Join our dynamic team in the HVIS Prep & Hold Unit—a 36-bed area dedicated to the preparation and recovery of both inpatient and outpatient individuals undergoing procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization, Electrophysiology, and Vascular/Neuro Interventional Radiology Labs. We also support elective cardioversions. Our recovery care includes patients who have received moderate sedation, general anesthesia, or monitored anesthesia care. In this role, you’ll be part of a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality, compassionate care. The successful candidate will also be cross-trained in our Non‑Invasive Cardiovascular Lab, expanding your skill set and professional development.

Education & Requirements

• BSN required or commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire.
• BLS Certification Required.
• ACLS Certification preferred.
• One year of cardiac or critical care experience as a Registered Nurse required.
• Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware required.

Hourly Pay Range: $42.11 - $67.37

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
