MercyOne Genesis Hospice Care, part of Trinity Health, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, family-centered care to terminally ill patients and their loved ones. You will assess needs, plan interventions, and deliver evidence-based nursing in a supportive environment.

You will coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, manage symptoms at end of life, and uphold ANA standards in a mission-driven health system.

Formación

• RN license and nursing degree required.
• Active Iowa RN license at time of hire; Illinois license within 6 months.

Responsabilidades

• Provide safe, effective, culturally competent, family-based holistic care for terminally ill patients and families or significant others.
• Perform assessments, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation and evaluation of care using critical thinking and evidenced-based practice.
• Manage pain and symptoms at end of life and maximize quality of life.
• Adhere to ANA Professional Practice Standards and participate in quality monitoring and performance.
• Schedule: Full-time 40 hours per week, Days M-F 0800-1630; occasional On-call and Holidays.

General Requirements:

The job requires some accountability for scheduling, assigning or coordinating work. Employees check the quality of work and provide guidance, instruction, training and direction to others. Although the job does not require formal or official supervisory responsibility, the incumbent serves as group leader or acts in an informal "assistant supervisory" or "lead" role. In addition, the employee may be expected to provide information or suggestions on human resources matters. Work requires limited responsibility for material resources. Examples of resources could be supplies, equipment, inventories, small budgets, and other similar material assets. The employee has a limited amount of control over these resources. Education:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• RN License in Iowa required at time of hire.

• Hospice and palliative Care nursing Certification preferred
