Atrium Health Floyd is launching an 11-bed High Acuity Progressive Care Unit (HAU) in early 2026. The RN provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care, delivering safe, evidence-based nursing in a fast-paced, clinically challenging environment.

You will collaborate across teams, maintain patient safety, and contribute to unit startup culture. We seek candidates with an accredited nursing program, state RN license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
  • Registered Nurse license for the practiced state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Atrium Health Floyd is launching an 11‑bed High Acuity Progressive Care Unit (HAU) in early 2026, offering an exciting opportunity to join a brand‑new, fast‑growing team. The HAU cares for high acuity medically complex patients with a dedicated 1:3 nurse‑to‑patient ratio. In the HAU you will have the opportunity to help shape the culture and care from day one, and play a key role in launching a unit designed for excellence. We’re Looking For
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Add additional preferred qualifications
What You’ll Do
  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
