Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, KY, is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our 6D Cardiac Telemetry Stepdown unit. This full-time position offers a 36-hour week with day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, located at the Edgewood Hospital.

The RN will deliver evidence-based care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and support patient outcomes while maintaining compassionate, patient-centric service across our healthcare communities.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• If eligible, must have a Compact (multi-state) License in primary state of residence.
• Licensed to practice nursing in the state where work is performed.
• Meets contact hour requirements for licensure, including all state-required courses.
• Focus of education promotes nurses’ ability to practice in clinical area assigned.

Responsibilities

The licensed registered nurse is a professional nurse who is responsible and accountable for providing evidence-based clinical care to designated patients utilizing the nursing process. This is accomplished by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care according to established ethical/cultural codes and standards of nursing practices and working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes. The registered nurse is responsible to delegate tasks appropriately to other licensed and unlicensed health care team members.

Kind and Length of Experience: Successful completion of preceptorship and orientation to the facility and clinical area. Able to critically think and problem solve in routine and emergency situations.
