The Heart Failure Unit (5E) at Christiana Hospital is a 36‑bed specialized post-critical care complex cardiac unit providing high‑acuity care to patients with complex heart failure and post‑operative cardiac needs. Within the unit, 12 beds are designated for post‑operative open‑heart surgery and LVAD patient population requiring advanced clinical expertise and specialized nursing competencies.
As a Registered Nurse on 5E, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients who may have chest tubes and surgical drains, large‑bore central venous catheters, and external cardiac pacing wires. RNs are responsible for advanced assessment, continuous hemodynamic and cardiac monitoring, medication administration, patient education, and early detection of changes in patient condition.
Hourly Pay Range: $42.11 - $67.37This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
