Atrium Health Pineville is seeking a compassionate RN to join the GI/Colorectal Surgical Floor for post-operative care. The unit treats Crohn’s disease, diverticulitis, gall stones, IBS and abdominal post-surgical patients, offering a collaborative team environment.

This full-time role (36 hours/week) requires an accredited nursing program, a current RN license in the state, BLS certification, and at least 6 months of RN experience. Candidates will deliver safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Accredited nursing program completed.
• RN license issued by the state where practicing.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association.
• At least 6 months of RN experience; new grads are not eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
• Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, and effective communication to ensure the safest patient environment and best patient experience.

Where You Will Work

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team on the GI, Colorectal Surgical Floor. Our unit specializes in providing exceptional post-operative care for patients undergoing gastrointestinal (GI) colorectal surgeries. The patients have a variety of medical diagnoses such as Crohn’s disease, diverticulitis, gallstones, irritable bowel syndrome, and general post-surgery with a focus on abdominal. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and be part of a collaborative and supportive team. Join our team in providing exceptional care for patients on their surgical recovery journey.

Expectations We’re Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new grads
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
