You will provide comprehensive nursing care, administer medications, monitor treatments, and document patient responses for long-term and short-term residents.

Qualifikationen

• Current active RN license in the state of employment.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret English-language information.
• Full range of body motion including lifting patients.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Long-term geriatric nursing care experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV lines.
• Record time spent performing treatments on the medication/treatment record.
• Ensure proper storage and security of drugs per facility policies.
• Notify the physician of adverse reactions or noncompliance promptly.
• Keep medication cart and room neat and properly stored.
• Assist in orientation and training of new nursing personnel.
• Practice infection control and safety policies and procedures.

What you'll do:

• Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV lines
• Record time spent performing individual treatments, in accordance with ancillary services policy, on the medication/trea tment record
• Ensure proper storage and security of drugs and biologicals in accordance with facility policies and procedures
• Notify the physician of refusal of medication/treatments, non-compliance with a trereatment plan, and resi dent response to medication regime with prompt notification to the phys iician of any adverse reactions
• Keeps medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat, clean, and medication stored properly /dispoing
• Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing personnel, as required
• Practice, implement, and supervise Infection Control, Universal Precaution, and safety policies and pro c edures

What we're looking for:

• Current active license as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment
• Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information in the English language
• Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients
• Ability to stand ofr long periods of time as well as lift/push/pull 50lbs
• Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met
• Experience in long term geriatric nursing care preferred
