Job summary

Mercy seeks registered nurses to provide compassionate, evidence-based patient care within the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework. You will coordinate care across departments, uphold patient rights and confidentiality, and maintain accountability for nursing duties.

Successful candidates will hold a nursing degree and an active RN license in the hiring state or a compact license, with BLS current or obtainable within 30 days.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the hiring state or compact licensure, and must meet state board requirements.
• Graduate of a nursing program (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• One or more unit-specific certifications may be required (e.g., ACLS/ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, STABLE, C-EFM).

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.
• Maintain professional accountability for nursing duties and ensure safety and quality of care.

Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Position Details:

Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe:

• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)

• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
• S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
• C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
• Other unit-specific certifications as required.

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
