Job summary

AdventHealth Tampa is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for Day shift. The role requires 1+ year of recent acute care experience, an active RN license, and current BLS certification; ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale are required or strongly preferred.

Familiarity with EPIC charting is preferred to ensure safe handoffs and documentation. The ideal candidate will have an ADN (BSN preferred) and be committed to compassionate, patient-centered care in a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of recent acute care experience (Required).
• Active RN license and current BLS certification (Required).
• ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale (Required).
• EPIC charting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safe practice by demonstrating unit-specific clinical competency and compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Ensures safe and effective handoff communications and documentation between caregivers.
• Communicates courteously with internal and external customers in person or on the telephone.
• Demonstrates respect for co-workers and develops positive working relationships with other departments.
• Participates in hourly rounding using the AIDET technique to improve patient outcomes.
