Job summary

Universal Health Services (UHS) operates Rancho Springs Hospital in Murrieta and Inland Valley Hospital in Wildomar, CA. We are seeking Registered Nurses to provide comprehensive care in our Emergency Departments, with opportunities for cross-facility assignments and career development within a nationwide network.

Applicants should hold a California RN license and have 1 year of acute care ER experience; BSN preferred and various certifications are encouraged.

Qualifications

  • One year of acute care emergency department experience.
  • Completion of an accredited RN program.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Current California RN license.
  • BLS (AHA) certification, ACLS (AHA) certification, PALS (AHA) certification, NIH Stroke Certification; CEN encouraged.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellence in patient care and collaborate with the healthcare team.
  • Conduct assessments, administer treatments and manage care on assigned units.
  • Care for patients across the continuum, including pain management and invasive lines/surgical drains.
  • Float between facilities as needed with orientation and competency validation.

Education

Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program
BSN preferred

Responsibilities

This position provides an opportunity to work at both of our world class facilities in the Emergency Departments. This position qualifies for increased compensation.

Southwest Healthcare Rancho Springs Hospital in Murrieta, California is a 120 bed acute-care hospital with the region's only Pediatric Emergency Services team (for children 14 and under) provided by board certified Rady Children’s emergency medicine physicians. Rancho Springs Hospital also provides the area's only OB/Emergency Department program, which gives expectant mothers 24/7 on-site access to OB/GYN physician coverage. The Childbirth Center at Rancho Springs Hospital is the largest in the region and features spacious family-friendly private suites. Rancho's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is operated by Rady Children’s.

Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital in Wildomar, California is a licensed 122-bed facility accredited by the Joint Commission. It is Southwest Riverside County's only designated Trauma Center and a county-designated Paramedic Base Station. The hospital performs more than 4,000 surgeries a year, and has an average of 4,000 Emergency Department visits per month. The hospital features a Bariatric Weight-Loss Surgery Center of Excellence and the region’s only Total Joint Center.

Staff Registered Nurses are responsible for providing excellence in patient care, collaborative and comprehensive care based on patient and/or family needs, providing assessments, treatment and care on assigned units. Will provide care for patients throughout the continuum of care, including management of pain, invasive lines and surgical drains. Staff Registered Nurses will also practice in accordance with all regulatory, professional, legal and hospital policies as well as consistently demonstrate behaviors that model the Southwest Healthcare Rancho Springs and Inland Valley Hospitals’ Core Values and the hospitals mission statement.

Employees will be required to float between facilities within Southwest Health Rancho Springs and Inland Valley Hospital based on operational needs, with appropriate orientation and competency validation provided.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience:
One (1) year experience in an acute care emergency department

Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program.

BSN Preferred
