Northwell Health is seeking a qualified RN for Danbury Hospital to join the Float Pool on the night shift. The role requires CT RN licensure and BLS certification, with a 10K sign-on bonus for external candidates with at least 1 year of acute care experience.

This full-time position offers 36 hours per week, with night hours of 7:00 pm to 7:30 am and contracted weekends/holidays. Danbury Hospital provides advanced care in a supportive, community-focused environment.

  • Performs assessments in an ongoing and systematic manner.
  • Formulates a goal directed plan of care which is prioritized and based on determined nursing diagnosis & patient outcomes.
  • Implements care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent and continuous manner.
  • Establishes priorities of patient care based on essential patient needs and available resources.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of care given and patient progression toward outcomes.
  • Identifies patient's/significant other's learning needs and implements appropriate measures to meet them.
  • Coordinates interdisciplinary functions.
  • Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Summary

Provides professional care and assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame. Provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process in collaboration with other health care team members.

Required: State of CT RN license. BLS certification required.

Hours: 36 control hours

Shift: 7:00pm-7:30am, weekends and holidays as contracted
