Job Summary

Responsible for providing, coordinating, and directing nursing care to assigned patients in the designated nursing unit. The RN's responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process in patient care, communicating effectively with the healthcare team to meet patient goals, and participating in quality improvement activities. The RN is also responsible for professional growth, delivering excellent customer service, and supporting the physical and emotional needs of patients and their families.

Reports to: Director, Patient Care Admin

Supervises: N/A

Education:

• Minimum: Graduate of a Registered Nurse Program
• Preferred: Bachelor Degree in Nursing

Registration/Certification/Licensure: Current PA RN license, Healthcare Provider CPR, and Act 33/73 clearances. ACLS required within two years if working in critical care or telemetry units.

Experience:

• Minimum: Clinical rotation during educational program
• Preferred: Previous experience in an acute care setting, telemetry, basic arrhythmia knowledge

Other Requirements: Crisis Management training as per policy.

Physical and Environmental Requirements: Includes frequent standing, walking, reaching, grasping, visual and auditory acuity, and handling environmental factors like interruptions and exposure to various elements, detailed in the original description.
