Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is actively seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Endoscopy to join our day shift team. This full-time position offers opportunities for growth in a supportive environment, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

The RN will provide safe, competent nursing care per facility standards, with two-plus years of RN experience preferred in Med/Surg/Tele and ICU/PCU.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Med/Surg/Tele and either ICU or PCU.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at time of hire.
• Current active Florida or Compact Nursing License.
• Preference for 1 year full-time or 3 years part-time experience in acute care.
• Start-date certifications: ACLS for most units, NRP for Women's Center, PALS for PACU, CPI/NIH where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Demonstrate service excellence standards at all times.
• Maintain strong communication and interpersonal skills; basic computer skills and patient service focus.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Overview

Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Previous endoscopy experience preffered, not required.

General Responsibilities

  • ICU/PCU: NIH within 90 days of start date.
  • ER: PALS, CPI within 90 days of start date, NIH within 90 days of start date.
  • PACU: PALS as of start date (inexperienced pacu nurses within 90 days of start date.
