Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse for Pre/Post in the Endoscopy Unit. This is a full-time, day shift position with five 8-hour shifts and a 645a–415p schedule, Monday to Friday.

A sign-on bonus up to $15,000 is available for qualified candidates. The RN will deliver care per the nursing process, with emphasis on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and will collaborate with gastroenterology specialists to support patient needs

This is a Full Time, Day shift in Charlottesville, VA!Schedule: Five 8-hour shifts: The hours are 645a to 415P between Monday and Friday.Sign on bonus up to $15,000 available for qualified candidates.Endoscopy Unit:Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital’s Digestive Care Center’s board-certified gastroenterologists, including two Gastroenterology physicians and a colorectal surgeon, treat a variety of diseases affecting the gallbladder, liver, mouth, stomach, intestines, pancreas, colon, and esophagus. The department sees an average of 16-18 procedures per day, both ambulatory and inpatient. The pre/post RN can expect a nurse patient ratio of 1:3.The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing.
