Job summary

Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for GI/Endoscopy. This full-time RN role requires ACLS/PALS, a nursing program completion, and an active state RN license. Expect 8- and 10-hour shifts, on-call duties, and a 36-hour work week with a busy endoscopy service.

Qualifications

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
  • Lead with clinical decision making to ensure patient safety and positive experience across the continuum.

Registered Nurse (RN) – GI/Endoscopy

Where You Will Work
  • 2 interventional procedure room; 4 additional procedure rooms plus a procedure room for manometries
  • 31-40 scheduled cases/day
  • 8 and 10 hour shifts
  • on-call once/week; one weekend every 5-6
  • Call response time 1 hour
We’re Looking For
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS and PALS required
What You’ll Do
  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
