Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Services

Job Type: Full-Time | Nights
Schedule: 3x12, Nights (6:30p-7a), Rotating Weekends

With self‑scheduling, you’ll have added flexibility while partnering with a department that values ideas, development, and shared ownership of outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Document patient care provided.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluate patient and family learning needs and provide appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provide quality patient care and work flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Associate’s Degree from an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required; ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years ED experience preferred.
