Job summary

MedStar Health's Emergency Department is hiring Clinical Nurses for a high-volume ED with 39 beds at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center. Full-time shifts include 7:00am–7:00pm, 1:00pm–1:00am, and 7:00pm–7:00am, offering opportunities to develop skills in urgent and critical care.

You will provide compassionate care, assess conditions, and collaborate with the nursing team to create care plans. A RN license and BLS are required; ADN/BSN/MSN/CNL are accepted.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs.
• Assess evolving patient conditions and identify health concerns.
• Develop and implement appropriate care plans.
• Collaborate with other nursing team members for care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team
