Job summary

The Manchester Memorial Hospital, Inc. is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to provide high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered care using the nursing process. You will coordinate patient care with the interdisciplinary team and report changes to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Must hold CT licensure and be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. ACLS and BLS certification are required at hire or within the orientation period. EPIC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of accredited school of Nursing with CT licensure.
• ACLS and BLS certification required at hire or within orientation period.
• Experience with electronic medical records is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary team and communicate changes to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
• Assess patient needs and respond to changes in condition or treatment effect.
• Promote professional nursing practice and mentor junior staff.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Utilizing the nursing process, provides high quality direct and indirect patient -centered care. Coordinates patient care by working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team. Communicates, as appropriate, the patient's clinical condition, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide age appropriate care to the patient population served. Promotes the profession of nursing and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current licensure in the State of Connecticut.

• Must have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification within the new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment with Hartford HealthCare in this role.

COMPETENCIES:

• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally as well as in writing using the English language

• Possess basic computer skills

• EPIC experience preferred
