Frye Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department in Hickory, NC. The role supports a 32-bed unit with 12-hour night shifts and self-scheduling, offering a 3x12 schedule and an incentive bonus to join our team.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact; must be updated if relocating.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• Two or more years of RN Emergency Department experience required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate quality improvement assessments.

The Emergency Department at Frye Regional Medical Center offers a supportive and stable work environment, caring for a variety of patients across the life span. This 32-Bed unit features self-scheduling, 12-hour shifts, and every-other-weekend rotation, helping promote flexibility and work-life balance. How You'll Contribute

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

What We're Looking For

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• Two or more years of RN Emergency Department experience required.
