Job summary

Cheshire Medical Center’s Emergency Department is hiring a part-time RN to join a small yet mighty team. Work 12-hour shifts starting at 7am or 7pm, with flexible weekend scheduling (every other or every third weekend).

The department serves a diverse rural community, from newborns to seniors, with telemedicine support and interdisciplinary collaboration. You must hold NH RN licensure, have at least one year of nursing experience (preferred), and BCLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must be a currently licensed Registered Nurse in New Hampshire.
• Minimum of one year nursing experience preferred.
• Current BCLS certification required.
• Excellent assessment, communication, interpersonal, and organizational/time management skills.
• Must demonstrate the ability to work well as part of a team and stay calm in fast-paced emergencies.
• Computer skills required for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Document relevant data and care processes accurately.
• Collaborate with nurses, techs, HUCs, providers and associates as part of the ED team.

Cheshire Medical Center’s small but mighty Emergency Department features many of the perks of a larger regional hospital, while serving the local community with compassion and quality care. The facility includes 21 beds, a four-bed behavioral health pod, a private OB specialty room, two trauma/resuscitation bays, and the use of telemedicine to consult with other specialists in neurology and emergency medicine. You will experience interdisciplinary teamwork and comradery in this well-equipped ED, as you work side by side with other nurses, techs, health unit coordinators, providers, and associate providers. You will perform as a member of the healthcare team to apply the nursing process when making nursing judgments and decisions specific to assessment, planning, implementation/delivery, and evaluation of patient care, and documenting relevant data and care processes.

Cheshire’s ED serves a diverse population of patients from this rural community, from newborn to end of life, including students from Keene State College. You can expect scheduling flexibility working 12-hour shifts starting at 7am and 7pm, including every other or every third weekend.

Qualifications: Must be a currently licensed Registered Nurse in the State of New Hampshire with a minimum of one year nursing experience preferred. Current certification in BCLS is required. Excellent assessment, communication, interpersonal, and organizational/ time management skills are vital. Must demonstrate the ability to work well as a member of a team and respond calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment and during a crisis and/or emergency. Computer skills required.
