Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals is seeking an RN to work in the ED Observation area of the WakeMed North hospital. The Clinical Nurse will deliver comprehensive nursing care aligned with PFCC principles, supporting dignity, information sharing and participation with patients and families.

Candidate should have a minimum of three years acute care RN experience; licensure as a Registered Nurse is required; diplomas/degrees as noted, with a preference for a Bachelor's in Nursing from the applicant.

Overview

We are seeking Med/Surg Nurses interested in working in the ED Observation area at our WakeMed North hospital's Emergency Department. WakeMed North is a modern facility with outstanding nurse support and a nurse to patient ratio of 4:1.

A minimum of three years acute care RN experience strongly preferred.

The Clinical Nurse is responsible for providing total comprehensive nursing to patients and their families through the implementation of a plan of care. The plan is based upon the patient's developmental and health care needs identified through the assessment of the patient's physical, psychological, socioeconomic status, and physician orders regarding care, treatment, and education. The Clinical Nurse understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission, values, and management of patient care services. The Clinical Nurse actively supports and incorporates ANA Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, North Carolina Board of Nursing Practice Act, WakeMed's Division of Nursing Professional Practice model, and WakeMed's Patient & Family Centered Care (PFCC) model.
