Job summary

Texas Health Resources seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department in Fort Worth, TX. This full-time night shift (7 pm–7 am) offers opportunities to care for a wide range of pediatric and adult patients in a MAGNET facility with Level III trauma capabilities.

The role requires RN licensure, a nursing diploma/ADN (BSN preferred), and current ACLS/PALS/ENPC/TNCC/NIHSS/CPI training. Excellent growth opportunities and self-scheduling are highlighted.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or ADN; BSN preferred
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by Texas Board of Nursing
• CLIAFE compliance for foreign education equivalency
• BCLS required before independent patient care and quarterly maintained
• ACLS within 90 days of Hire
• PALS within 90 days of hire or ENPC within 12 months
• TNCC within 12 months of hire
• NIHSS within 6 months of hire
• CPI within 90 days of hire
• 1 year RN experience or RN residency completed
• Current ED experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Work hours: Full-time, 3 x 12 hour shifts, 7 pm - 7 am

Here's what you need:

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
• CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Req
• BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
• ACLS - within 90 days of hire required
• PALS - within 90 days of hire required OR
• ENPC - within 12 months of hire required
• TNCC - within 12 months of hire required
• NIHSS - within 6 months of hire required
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training - within 90 days of hire
• 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
• Current ED experience strongly preferred

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

• assesses the patient
• plans the care of the patient
• intervenes as appropriate
• evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
