Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, part of Advocate Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department (Adult) in Park Ridge, IL. This full-time night shift (7pm–7am) position offers a 36-hour work week on a 45-bed unit within a Level 1 trauma center.

Requirements include an accredited nursing program, an IL RN license, BLS, ACLS; PALS within 3 months. Prefer 1 year in ED/critical care. Join a Magnet-designated system with extensive nursing resources and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse license issued by the practicing state.

Where You Will Work

45 bed unit that provides nursing care to patient population needing emergency services. Lutheran General is a Level 1 Trauma Medical Center with magnet designation.

We’re Looking For
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association and ACLS; PALS to be obtained within 3 months of start date
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferably in Emergency or Critical Care nursing
What You’ll Do
  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
