General Summary of Position

Unit Highlights

Welcome to MedStar Harbor Hospital. MedStar Harbor Emergency Department is a 27-bed department with 20 main ED beds and 7 fast track beds. The Emergency Department sees approximately 40,000 patients a year and serves a diverse patient population. Gain great experience caring for patients of all ages and with various medical complaints. Harbor Hospital is approximately 1 mile from Interstate 95, allowing for an easier commute with free onsite parking. Take advantage of the many educational opportunities MedStar offers to nurses. Both experienced nurses and those new to the specialty are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families with needs ranging from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems in specific patient populations, critically analyze trends and changes in patient status, and plan appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Prior clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Active MD RN license or active Compact State RN license and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers required.

This position has a hiring range of $35.00 - $56.91.
