Job summary

Trinity Health not-for-profit health system is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department at St Mary’s Health Care System in Lavonia, Georgia. The RN will assess patients, develop and modify care plans, and deliver evidence-based nursing care in a collaborative team setting.

This 12-hour day shift role requires GA RN licensure, completion of an accredited nursing program, and ongoing professional readiness.

Qualifications

• A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing or substantially equivalent.
• Successful completion of a refresher course within the past 6 months if nursing practice has not occurred within the past 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop, evaluate, and modify the care plan.
• Interpret and perform complex patient-care procedures specific to the RN's expertise.
• Collaborate with Care Team and Support Team to achieve patient outcomes identified in the pathway/plan of care.

Position Purpose

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department RN works in a collaborative environment at St Mary’s Health Care System to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidence-based medicine and individualized patient care. A Registered Nurse RN is expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience. What you will do

Emergency Department with Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia is a 14 bed unit that cares for all patients from infants to geriatrics specializing in Cardiology and Stroke care. Under limited supervision, the Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing patients, including developing, evaluating, and modifying the care plan. The RN interprets and performs complex patient-care procedures specific to their expertise. RNs are members of the Care Team and Support Team and have accountability to function as a team to accomplish patient outcomes identified in the pathway/plan of care. The Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the care given to a group of patients for a designated time frame. The RN provides care to those patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/technology, and other healthcare team members, according to established standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing or found by the Board to be substantially equivalent to the programs in Georgia.
• Successful completion of a refresher course within the past 6 months if nursing practice has not occurred within the past 5 years.
• Prior experience in preferred.
