Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for inpatient/ED care in a 24/7 hospital setting. The role focuses on coordinating care, assessing symptoms, and supporting patients and families with a professional, compassionate approach.

Night and weekend differentials apply. Actual pay is based on licensure years. This is an hourly position and pay ranges from $34.25 to $51.13 per hour.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in Illinois or Michigan.
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification (required prior to start date).
• Preferred: BSN; RN experience; EMR and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide care coordination across the continuum and 24/7 hospital care in the inpatient/ED setting.
• Assess physical symptoms and provide psychological support to patients and families.
• Mentor team members and promote best practices.

Position Summary

Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, families, and friends, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains a professional disposition at all times. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in Illinois or Michigan
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification (required prior to start date of employment)

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: BSN
• Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment
• Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency
