The ideal candidate holds an associate degree (BSN preferred), a Connecticut RN license, and 2 years in ICU/ED or cardiology, with day shift and full-time scheduling.

About This Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Electrophysiology provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and protocols. This role is ideal for candidates with a cardiac background and extensive telemetry knowledge.

Highlights

• Location: Bridgeport, CT
• Facility: St. Vincent’s Medical Center
• Schedule: Full Time, Day shift (Monday - Friday, alternating 9hr and 11hr shifts starting at 6am)

What You'll Do

• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to assess patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and age-related needs.
• Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based on their education and expertise.
• Participates in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds.
• Develops, implements, and revises individualized plans of care.
• Participates in activities for professional growth and development outside of patient care.

Requirements

Education:

• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU, ED, or cardiology RN experience.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current Connecticut RN license.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
