Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, Kentucky, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team on a PRN schedule. You’ll deliver direct patient care following the nursing process and collaborate with care teams to promote patient well-being.

• One year of experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Performs plan of care interventions including meds and procedures.
• Documents care and communicates with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines and transfers.
• Educates patients and families, and advocates for well-being.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular attendance and performs other duties as assigned.

How you'll contribute

• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
